Jim's work also shows his love of the outdoors & the skiing lifestyle of the spectacular Whistler area that he also called home for several years.

Before moving to Whistler, he and wife Cathie resided in North Vancouver for 38 happy years where they worked, & raised their family. Lively Edgemont Village was a favourite for subject matter and he recorded much of its dynamic atmosphere & recent history.
Jim's architectural roots are also often evident in his work.

Jim's paintings are found in private collections in British Columbia, Ontario, Utah and France. His work was selected by the Hotel Diderot, in Chinon, France to represent their establishment.

Sadly, Jim passed away on May 26th 2010 after a  three year battle with prostate cancer that he endured with courage, humour, and class.
He will be greatly missed.

He traveled often to France, interpreting that diverse culture in his bright & impressionistic watercolours. France was also where he received his first instruction in working with watercolours and the light, subject matter, and landscapes repeatedly called him back.
